Stralsund 2022

Six sketchers spent one week in Stralsund together, sketching, eating, drinking and laughing a lot. I was lucky to be one of them! We enjoyed sketching together in different combinations, shared our work and experiences and had a lot of fun.

Stralsund offered us a lot - there where theses little sweet houses in the old monastry, with there beautiful gardens. The roses bloomed and covered the old walls.

In the port there where these big old store houses and the new modern Oceaneum.

We could admire the old sailing boat Gorch Fock 1, which is lying in Stralsund Port as a museum ship.

In the Marina were busy times - many sailing boats were coming and leaving.

The old market in the middle of the old town was the perfect place for a coffee or beer. We enjoyed watching and sketching the people, the impressive city hall und the buildings around.

And there was my favorite corner with this little small café, a gallery, a hotel and some big old buildings.

It was a week, where I was able to forget my little problems. A week without thinking of the current issues in the big world out there. These where days of fun and joy.

Thank you Katrin for organizing it.

Bike tour Jagst - Kocher

After the great Sketchtour Kirchberg a.d. Jagst, we started a bike tour along the two rivers - the river Jagst and the river Kocher.

We were one week on the way. We rode through fields and forests, along the rivers, we came through very old little towns and villages. We stayed every night at a different place.

In Schwäbisch Hall we made a longer break as it was such an interesting town. My husband started to sketch as well, so it was really fun to have more time for sketching.

This was a week full of greens, birds and lots of timber-framed buildings.
